Founded in 2021 by Niklas Weidmann and Narayan Venkatesh, Tilla is based in Berlin with a team working from the city and remotely around the world. We’re spread across 6 time zones and represent 10 different nationalities. Our global, diverse team reflects the industry we’re working to improve—interconnected and truly international. We’re supported by advisors from the maritime industry, experienced investors, and founders who’ve built successful companies before.

We saw the challenges facing crewing operations today and recognized an opportunity to make things better through technology. Our mission is straightforward: we want to be the digital backbone supporting the people who drive the shipping industry.
